When Lippok entered the interior of the organ for the first time, he had the feeling of being in a model of a future city. The pipes, tubes and repetitive wooden constructions reminded him of the sound houses that Francis Bacon wrote about in New Atlantis. He incorporated this impression into the composition and thus created a sound architecture consisting of individual blocks of serial tone sequences of varying duration, periodically interrupted by silence.
