„We have also divers strange and artificial echoes, reflecting the voice many times, and as if it were tossing it; and some that give back the voice louder than it came, some shriller and some deeper….We have also means to convey sounds in tubes and pipes, in strange lines and distances…”

Francis Bacon, New Atlantis, 1627
( quoted from the EMS SYNTHI manual, 1972. Electronic Studio Radio Belgrade )

When Lippok entered the interior of the organ for the first time, he had the feeling of being in a model of a future city. The pipes, tubes and repetitive wooden constructions reminded him of the sound houses that Francis Bacon wrote about in New Atlantis. He incorporated this impression into the composition and thus created a sound architecture consisting of individual blocks of serial tone sequences of varying duration, periodically interrupted by silence.
